Inside the university buildings you can connect to the Internet via two networks: MHS and eduroam. We recommend that you set up access via eduroam, because it also allows you to connect to the Internet at other educational institutions.
MHS
In this network you can log in with the abbreviation and password of your university account. The advantage is that you do not need to install a configuration profile; the disadvantage is that the login will not happen automatically.
Log in to this network once and use it to set up your eduroam access.
eduroam
Since 28 August 2025 the previous configuration profiles no longer work. Please remove the old profile and generate a new one.
To connect to eduroam you have to create a configuration profile.
The easiest way is to download the easyroam app from the relevant app store for iOS and Android devices and use it to generate a new configuration. Do not delete the app after setup—doing so will also remove the configuration.
Users of other operating systems can log in at https://easyroam.de and generate a suitable configuration there. If you have questions, first consult the DFN documentation and, if necessary, contact the University IT Center.
